Terms of sale

Terms of use and sale

Last updated: November 4, 2026. English translation for information only; the Spanish version prevails.

1. Who sells

Adventure Maps is a service of Ignacio Calvo Mateos, tax ID 46063204T, Pujades, 08019 Barcelona, email hi@advmaps.com, through advmaps.com. These terms govern the use of the service and the purchase of maps. You accept them when you create your account or buy a map.

2. The service

Adventure Maps lets you create designed route maps from a GPX file or a drawn route, edit them and download them as an image. Creating and editing maps is free and shows a preview with a watermark; downloading a map in high resolution and without the watermark is paid, per map.

Maps are paid with credits: each credit unlocks one map forever, which you can download without the watermark in all its formats and edit and download again without limit. You get one free credit when you create your account. Credits never expire and cannot be exchanged for money. A copy of a map (duplicate) is a new map and needs its own credit, and the credit used on a map you delete is not returned.

3. Your account

You need an account with a verified email. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for what is done from your account. You must be of legal age, or have your parents' or guardians' permission, to buy.

4. Your content

The GPX files, texts and images you upload remain yours. You only allow us to store and use them to generate and show you your maps. You guarantee that you have the right to use what you upload (for example logos and photos) and that it does not infringe third-party rights or the law. We may remove content that does.

5. Price and payment

Credits are sold singly or in packs, at the price shown before you pay, in euros and VAT included. Purchases are processed by Stripe (Stripe Managed Payments), which acts as the seller to you (Merchant of Record): Stripe takes the payment, issues the invoice with your country's VAT and handles taxes, refunds and payment disputes, and the purchase is also governed by its terms. We never see your card details. You will receive the confirmation and the invoice by email. The Stripe account that takes the payment is in the name of Lifetime Media - Ignacio Calvo, the company that develops the platform, and that is the name shown on the payment page and on your card charge; we also tell you before you pay.

6. Delivery

Credits appear in your account as soon as Stripe confirms the payment, usually within seconds. The map is digital content: as soon as you unlock it you can download it from your account, and you can download it again later. If you cannot download it because of a problem on our side, write to us and we will fix it or refund you.

7. Right of withdrawal

As a consumer you generally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase. You can withdraw from credits you have not used yet by writing to us within that period. However, when you use a credit to unlock a map, which is delivered instantly, you expressly consent to delivery starting immediately and acknowledge that you therefore lose the right of withdrawal on that credit (article 103.m of the Spanish General Law for the Defence of Consumers and Users). This does not affect your rights if the map delivered is faulty or not what you bought.

8. Use of purchased maps

Each map you buy comes with a perpetual, non-exclusive licence to use it on your websites, social networks, presentations and prints, including for your own commercial purposes (for example, to promote a trip). You may not resell or distribute the map as a product in itself, nor the service to generate it. You must keep the map data credits shown on the map (for example "© OpenStreetMap"), which their licences require.

9. Availability and liability

We work to keep the service always available, but there may be interruptions for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control, such as the map data providers. Maps are graphic representations meant to tell the story of a trip: they are not for navigation and do not guarantee the accuracy of routes, borders or names. Except for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected map.

10. Closing your account

You can delete your account whenever you want from “My account”: we email you to confirm it and, once confirmed, we delete your maps, routes and images. Credits you have not used are lost and not refunded; if you are still within the withdrawal period, write to us before deleting it. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms. If we do so without cause, we will refund what you paid for maps you could not download.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change them, we will tell you in advance. Purchases already made are governed by the terms in force when you made them.

12. Law and complaints

These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any question or complaint write to hi@advmaps.com. If you are a consumer, you may go to the courts of your place of residence and to the European online dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).
